Built in 1971, in the rolling farmland of Frederick County, Maryland, West Winds Golf Club offers a classical 6,525 yard, Par 72 championship golf layout that meanders through an upscale residential community. Dramatic changes in elevation serves to highlight the lush conditioning of this Maryland golf course jewel. It features a clubhouse with golf shop, grill room and full-service dining room that overlooks the ninth and 18th greens. West Winds Golf Club also has a banquet facility with seating capacity of 150 people to for weddings, birthday celebrations or any banquet needs in Frederick County.
As of January 2007 West Winds is a private, members only club.
